With cooling temperatures (well… it’s all relative) comes the season for which gourmet food lovers rejoice: truffle season. And the queen bee of the truffle world is the white truffle, coveted for its mesmerising aroma. Found mostly in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, it’s no wonder the white truffle is the new star of the menu at the Conrad’s fine-dining Italian restaurant, Nicholini’s.
The executive chef of Nicholini’s, Riccardo Catarsi, has created a line-up of dishes specially highlighting the prized white truffle. Mouth-watering temptations range from oxtail tortelli with porcini mushroom and white truffle, to slow-cooked monkfish with Parma ham and white truffle, to veal tenderloin and pork cheek with white truffle. There’s even a white chocolate parfait with white truffle!
The white truffle tasting menu ($1,788/person) and à-la-carte menus are available from now until December, or while these jewels last.
