If you’ve never heard of SaladStop!, I definitely recommend you stop there not only for some delicious salads and wraps, but also to support a company that has made it its mission to create healthy and sustainable eating options by partnering with companies who ethically source foods and by reducing its plastic usage. SaladStop! has already started to discontinue the usage of plastic bags, offering a for-purchase tote bag in place, and the salad and grain bowls are made of 80%-recycled plastic and 100%-unbleached bamboo.

In addition to eliminating the usage of plastic, SaladStop! tries to make its food as sustainable as possible. Starting in October 2019, SaladStop! will work with Sustenir Agriculture, an indoor farming facility in Hong Kong, to grow hydroponic kale, and it will be the first to introduce this kale to customers. Sustenir is working on growing cherry tomatoes and other veg in the future.

SaladStop! employees are well informed as to where all the food items sold are sourced, meeting the suppliers themselves so that everything can be more transparent.

Burn Baby, Burn salad with Impossible stew on the side

SaladStop! has released two new salads and one grain bowl this autumn, releasing new, limited-time seasonal offerings every three months (always providing a vegan option). All the salads can be also turned into wraps (plain flour, wholewheat, tomato or spinach).

The Inhale Exhale salad ($78) is the vegan option this time and includes rocket, baby spinach, baked mushrooms, roasted Brussels sprouts and pumpkin, cherry tomatoes, beetroot, grapes, toasted almonds and mustard balsamic vinaigrette.

The El Chulo grain bowl ($85) is a vegetarian option and includes a new Impossible stew on the side (a vegetarian meat substitute). You can also purchase the Impossible stew as a topping (+$8).

Finally, the Burn Baby, Burn salad ($85) features chicken, for those who prefer to have some meat protein.

If you bring your own container or order a vegan meal, you’ll be gifted with a free topping.
