Soho has welcomed a new addition to the brunch scene with AMO AGO, an Italian café-bar stocking breakfast items, savoury tartines, coffee, and cocktails.

Founded by pastry chefs Julien Zampieri and Paula Andrea, the breakfast and tartine pastries and other items are inspired by locations dotted along the Italian and Mediterranean coasts, including the Athena (HKD90) granola and fruit bowl, Capri (HKD95) sourdough bread with stracciatella, and Portofino (HKD85), which pairs caramelised fig with ricotta and walnut.

We recommend the Cartagena (HKD105) tartine, topped with beef cheek, chimichurri, and pickled red onion. The San Sebastian (HKD115) comes with octopus, potato salad, and Lombardi peppers. They also do a great negroni spritz (HKD65) to pair with your bready brunch or lunch.

AMO AGO’s pastry selection changes daily, and cocktails can be made to order too. Be sure to get there early for a seat as this place is the latest food hotspot in Soho.
