Two of our favourite French restaurants in Hong Kong – Racines in Sheung Wan and nearby Feuille, straddling the border with Central – are joining hands in friendship this month for a one-night-only six-hands dinner on Jul. 3.

Led by chefs (and BFFs) Romain Dupeyre and Adrien Castillo, who were crowned with our Foodie Forks 2024 Chef of the Year award, Racines is a warm-hearted showcase of the seasonal flavours of the South of France, garnering a Michelin star less than a year after its debut.

Plant-focused fine-diner Feuille, the brainchild of multi-starred French chef David Toutain, is overseen on the daily by chef Joris Rousseau. The Michelin-starred eatery also nabbed a Green Star this year for its pioneering root-to-shoot culinary approach.

Sharing a passion for seasonality and the use of fresh ingredients, the chefs’ six-course menu (HKD2,288 pp) is set to feature local flavours with a fine-dining twist, including the unveiling of a new summer dish by the Racines chefs.

You’ll be touched by the trio’s parting gifts – Racines’ homemade plum jam and Feuille’s handcrafted kombucha – echoing the chefs’ friendship.
