Central’s cult-favourite Taiwanese eatery can now be known as Art & Taste, exploring a new future for the authentic restaurant recognised by the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong.

With seven consecutive years winning a Bib Gourmand award till 2024, the eatery has now embraced a new interior design, with art by local Hong Kong artists exhibited on the walls of the restaurant. The new interior design has moved away from the old blue and brown theme of What to Eat and is now brightly lit and white.

Beyond the name change, few things have changed at the location, with a true Taiwanese spirit coursing through the spot. The crispy popcorn chicken with rice (HKD78), Taiwanese egg rolls with tuna (HKD43), stinky tofu (HKD43), and braised beef rib noodles (HKD85) remain on the menu and are just as tasty as before. Nothing has been removed from the former What to Eat menu.

What to Eat closed down on Jun. 8 after a Facebook post in May 2024 explained that the two Taiwanese owners had future plans for the restaurant. Today, these future plans have been revealed.
