Dressed like an Apple Store for Japanese food, OMUSUBI sells some of Hong Kong’s most authentic omusubi, more commonly known as onigiri, or triangular rice balls filled with salty protein.

The menu at the snack chain is heavy on well-seasoned meat and sushi-grade fish. Expect great fillings like beef sukiyaki with egg yolk, salt-grilled sockeye salmon flakes, grilled eel, scallop with red snow crab paste, and smoked chicken.

To complement the omusubi bites, the tomato cream soup with seafood, veggie white miso soup, and Kyoto-style bean-curd skin soy-milk soup pair well for a quick lunch.

You can find OMUSUBI at ifc mall, D’Aguilar Street, and Three Garden Road in Central and at Taikoo Place in Quarry Bay.
