Chef-owner Alex Fargas of La Paloma – winner of the Foodie Forks 2024 Best Spanish Restaurant – is welcoming fun-loving diners to the annual La Fiesta celebration at his Sai Ying Pun eatery.
La Fiesta 2024 is a four-day event from Oct. 17 till Oct. 20 toasting to the best of Spain’s culinary traditions and culture. Each day of the festival offers a special immersive experience, kicking off with the Arranque dinner (HKD588 pp) on Oct. 17 crafted by the dynamic Spanish duo of chef Alex and chef Willy Trullàs Moreno. The menu of classic Spanish tapas and wine is set to be accompanied by live flamenco.
On Oct. 18 for Toque Libre, creative à-la-carte specials by chefs Alex and Willy are on the cards. These include dishes of tortilla de txipirones (an omelette made with inky baby squid) and churrasco de buey (grilled ox steak), paired with hand-picked bottles of Spanish vino.
Up next on Oct. 19 is Café Cantante for brunch and dinner accompanied by flamenco performances. The paella and suckling pig brunch (HKD398 pp) is headlined by this pair of iconic Spanish dishes, whilst the flamenco dinner (HKD588 pp) gives diners the choice of ordering à-la-carte dishes or sampling a tasting menu starring regional tapas.
La Fiesta’s festivities come to a close on Oct. 20 with the Spanish-style Sunday brunch (HKD388 pp) featuring a selection of La Paloma’s greatest hits, including seafood paella and a traditional squid sandwich, alongside even more flamenco.
