Following rumours of Luckin Coffee entering the Hong Kong market in the summer of 2024, the mega Chinese coffee chain is set to open seven locations in the city next year.

The new locations will be opening in the heart of Mong Kok, Sheung Wan, and Ho Man Tin and at Mira Place in Tsim Sha Tsui, MCP CENTRAL in Tseung Kwan O, Sha Tin Centre, and Festival Walk in Kowloon Tong.

In Singapore, the most expensive coffee drink on the menu at Luckin Coffee costs about HKD44, well in line with the prices of Hong Kong coffee. It remains to be seen whether the chain will dish out prices for coffee as low as CNY9.9 (HKD10.5) sold previously in China.

The brand boasts more than 20,000 shops across China and Asia, beating Starbucks in the Mainland market both in sales and number of stores.
