When it comes to Indian and South Asian dining in Hong Kong, two of our top contenders are CHAAT at Rosewood Hong Kong in Tsim Sha Tsui and and Central’s New Punjab Club, so we’re pleased as punch that these Michelin-starred restaurants are coming together this month to host two very special dinners at their respective locations.

Priced at HKD998 per person, the 11-dish menu curated by chef Gaurav Kuthari of CHAAT and chefs Palash Mitra and Sidhu Chhabil of New Punjab Club is set to take place on Jan. 15 at CHAAT and then on Jan. 22 at New Punjab Club.

The dishes showcased run the gamut from tried-and-true favourites like keema pau and tandoori cobia by New Punjab Club and CHAAT’s tandoori Wagyu beef cheek and Malabar fish curry to all-new dishes drummed up by each restaurant, including samosa tart, oxtail pulao, and murgh methi saag, a punchy curry of three-yellow chicken and winter greens.

The dessert of chocolate and smoked chestnut naan with popcorn gelato is a fusion masterpiece by the chef trio.
