La Table French Brasserie in Tsim Sha Tsui East is celebrating the elusive flavour of umami with a new tasting dinner menu launching at the New World Millennium hotel.
The French restaurant is showcasing this limited menu through February, highlighting the “addictive” Exotica Umami seasoning sauce, developed locally in Hong Kong.
The Exotica Umami dinner tasting menu (HKD1,080 pp) is robust, salty, and heavy with umami at the same time. The menu begins with the Exotica Umami caviar box, continuing with the South Australian lobster ballotine, slow-cooked salmon, and grilled Wagyu beef.
This umami experience is capped off with a dessert of Musang King durian brownie with caviar.
