Singapore’s famous Cantonese-style chicken rice brand Boon Tong Kee is coming to Hong Kong in March for a full-circle moment.

Opening in Causeway Bay behind Times Square, the location will be bringing the brand’s chicken rice and other Cantonese dishes, such as braised fish maw, fried spare ribs, stewed pig’s trotter, and steamed egg with crabmeat.

The new restaurant replaces ramen eatery Butao on the ground floor of the V POINT building on Causeway Bay’s continuously changing Tang Lung Street.

Boon Tong Kee has seven locations in Singapore, founded in 1979 and developing from a simple zi char (similar to dai pai dong) restaurant to a fledgling restaurant chain across the Lion City.
