Island Shangri-La

Island Shangri-La The top Easter sweet treats in Hong Kong in 2025

The Easter collection presented by Island Shangri-La’s Island Gourmet is as creative and eye-catching as per usual at this gourmet hotel bake shop. On the chocolate egg side, the intricately crafted Chocolate Bunny Racer (HKD650) and Chocolate Bunny and Egg Party (HKD650) are the innovative standouts. The bakery’s yeasty Easter items also deserve a look-in. The hot cross bun (HKD30) is a given, but we’re also keen to try the pane di Pasqua (HKD45), a sweet Italian Easter bread that’s topped with sprinkles and a hard-boiled egg, and the citrus- and spice-infused German Easter bread known as Osterbrot (HKD60) adorned with toasted almond slices.

Venchi’s expansive springtime chocolate collection for 2025, Blooming Wonder, is ideal for Easter gifting, offering mini and large chocolate eggs, metal tins, mini books, chocolate chicks and bunnies, and lots more. However, of all the Easter delicacies crafted by this premium Italian chocolatier, the most coveted by us is the Gran Gourmet Pistachio Egg (HKD699), an oversized pistachio-coated white chocolate egg with a pistachio-paste core. A much more affordable chocolate egg option comes with the mini chocolate egg cardboard pack (HKD100), six milk or dark chocolate mini eggs packaged adorably in an egg carton.
