Opened in 2019, K11 MUSEA is one of Hong Kong’s swankiest malls, bringing together art, culture, entertainment, retail, and – most importantly to us – gastronomy under one roof.

There are so many good things to eat at this Victoria Dockside mall in Tsim Sha Tsui that they might as well call it a food mall. We worked our way through the mall directory to select the best of the best of dining at K11 MUSEA.

Cannubi Enoteca Cucina

A member of multi-Michelin-starred chef Umberto Bombana’s Octavo Management Group portfolio, Cannubi Enoteca Cucina shines at K11 MUSEA with its sophisticated Italian wine bar concept. Barolo-loving diners can pair their glasses and bottles from Piedmont’s finest vineyards with a well-curated range of Italian specialities, from a selection of fine Italian cold cuts (HKD390), to linguine with carabinero red prawn (HKD590), to Milanese-style veal chop (HKD800). The restaurant’s prices are indeed on the high side for mall dining, but the dishes can easily be shared between two.

Sushi Wadatsumi is another high-priced mall stunner, this time Japanese. This long-time Michelin-starred restaurant moved from Sheung Wan to K11 MUSEA in 2021, with its top-of-the-range sushi now attracting even more discerning diners. Whether you’re splashing out for lunch (HKD1,080 pp) or dinner (HKD2,380 pp), we feel the omakase price tags are justified given the exemplary ingredients and service presented.

Coucou Reserve

We always crave hotpot, and Coucou Reserve is one of our favourite hotpot restaurants in the city. Though this sleek hotpot brand originates in China, it’s Coucou’s Taiwanese-style spicy broth (HKD138/HKD198) that is the bestseller here. We also rate the savoury bovine bone and tomato broth (HKD99/HKD168) and collagen-rich fish maw and chicken broth (HKD138/HKD168) – or you can go the whole hog with the three-flavour broth (HKD588). All the hotpot dippers, from seafood and meat to vegetables and tofu, are exceptional, but it’s not hotpot for us at Coucou without an order of the Japanese Kagoshima Wagyu beef chuck (HKD388). Coucou’s bubble tea is great too.

Singapore’s Chatterbox Café has successfully clucked its way into Hong Kong with its award-winning Mandarin chicken rice (HKD138), named after the Lion City hotel where it was founded. Other Singaporean dishes we always look forward to chowing down on at Chatterbox include the salted egg chicken wings (HKD72/HKD98), jumbo scallop laksa (HKD182), and coconut ice cream in young coconut shell (HKD108).

TUBER is the sister restaurant to Cannubi (see above), a newly crowned Michelin-starred Italian wonder courtesy of chef Umberto Bombana. This restaurant places seasonal black and white truffles from around the world on a pedestal. The ultimate degustation menu (HKD1,880 pp) is headlined by season-driven ingredients at the peak of their freshness. The pasta course is a standout, whether it be the veal and morel ravioli or homemade tagliolini with Ligurian artichoke and black truffle. Offering just a handful of well-spaced tables, dining at TUBER feels very special indeed.

TIRPSE

TIRPSE lands at K11 MUSEA as an extension of the former Michelin-starred restaurant in Tokyo. The eatery’s expansive space, hidden from view at the entrance, is simply stunning with its chic black marble and copper accents, minimalist modern art, and breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour. The price point of TIRPSE’s refined French-Japanese cuisine comes at a premium, but we think it’s worth it when it involves savouring the delectable dishes that taste as good as they look. The weekday lunch menu is priced from HKD368 per person, whilst the dinner tasting menu costs from HKD888 per person.

This ramen restaurant from Tokyo has won a lot of awards back in Japan, and Takano’s soy sauce ramen (HKD128) has proven just as big of a hit in Hong Kong. With the eatery’s hand-pulled buckwheat noodles made fresh in-store daily and a spicy, sesame-laced dan dan ramen (HKD138) option added to the mix, Takano remains one of our favourite ramen joints not just at K11 MUSEA, but in all of Hong Kong.

Serene to the max with its floor-to-ceiling windows surrounded by greenery, Japanese-inspired Ukiyo is the ideal spot for either unwinding after pounding the pavement or psyching yourself up for a day of shopping ahead. The quality and freshness of the ingredients showcased here are particularly impressive. Menu highlights for us include the savoury waffle burgers (HKD128), mochi waffle desserts (HKD168), and any of the pasta dishes, especially the homemade penne with sous-vide chicken breast in nori cream sauce (HKD168) and homemade pappardelle with shrimp and salmon roe in lobster sauce (HKD188).
