We can’t seem to get enough of all things miniature, and that’s even more the case when the mini objects in questions are food related.

This newly launched limited-time afternoon tea at New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel tickles our fancy with its miniature creative versions of perennial cha chaan teng favourites, from the peanut pound cake resembling a bite-sized HK-style French toast, to the pineapple passion fruit puff modelled after a pineapple bun stuffed with a slab of butter, to the yuzu mousse cake inspired by curry fishballs.

The savoury stunners in the Old Hong Kong Charm tea set  (HKD448 for 2) include the abalone, chicken, and Jinhua ham tartlet, a take on a traditional chicken pie, and elevated cha chaan teng staple of black truffle, corned beef, and egg sandwich

Diners can opt to upgrade their coffee, signature tea blend, or HK-style iced milk tea to a seasonal special drink (HKD38 pp) of Pineapple Delight (pineapple Yakult soda), Tender Moments (red bean paste, coconut jelly, and coconut milk), or condensed milk and peanut butter coffee.

This limited-time afternoon tea is served daily from 2:30PM to 5:30PM until Sep. 30
