Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan’s sustainable British bakery The Baker & The Bottleman remains a top choice for Western-style baked goods in Hong Kong, now even more so with the launch of head baker Helene Ng’s new line-up of bakes inspired by global flavours, Japanese in particular.

On the sweet side, the brand-new highlights include the salted pistachio and chocolate cookie (HKD35), apple crumble scone (HKD28), and matcha raspberry puff (HKD28).

For fans of the more savoury side of the pastry spectrum, there are tempting newcomers such as the sweetcorn carbonara croissant (HKD48), musubi croissant (HKD48) with caramelised luncheon meat, furikake, and teriyaki glaze, and crot dog (HKD48), a croissant-wrapped bratwurst decked out in three different ways: with mustard and jalapeño, Worcestershire glaze, nori, and Japanese mayo, or raclette and onion jam.
