If you’re craving something to snack on during the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival that goes beyond the traditional egg custard mooncakes, have a look at Island Shangri-La’s limited-time “Luna” teatime experience, priced at HKD888 for two people.
Held at the hotel’s elegant Lobby Lounge until Oct. 7, the inventive afternoon tea set features an array of East-meets-West mini mooncake-shaped bites, highlighted by an exclusive mooncake collaboration with acclaimed Japanese pastry chef Hironobu Tsujiguchi.
Chef Hironobu is the founder of 13 pastry and chocolate brands across Japan, including Mont St. Clair and Le Chocolat de H. His Moonlit Harmony mooncake beautifully fuses the flavours of rose, strawberry, and chocolate.
Alongside this mooncake masterpiece are creative Mid-Autumn morsels that include coconut-pineapple mini mooncake, matcha mochi mini mooncake, foie gras panna cotta with peach mini mooncake, and confit egg yolk with caviar mini mooncake.
Afternoon tea is served daily at Lobby Lounge, Monday through Friday from 3PM to 5PM and weekends and public holidays from 2PM till 5:30PM (two seatings).
