Rosewood Hong Kong has earned itself the prestigious title of the World’s Best Hotel in last night’s (Oct. 30) World’s 50 Best Hotels awards ceremony held in London.

The shining flagship location for the global hotel brand, only opening in March 2019, beat Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Raffles, and Bulgari properties globally to earn itself the rank.

The Tsim Sha Tsui-based five-star hotel joins Bar Leone, the World’s Best Bar, to mark Hong Kong as the home for grand hospitality.

Just like Bar Leone, Rosewood Hong Kong has flirted with the no. 1 ranking since the inaugural World’s 50 Best Hotels guide came out in 2023. It landed at no. 2 in 2023 and fell to no. 3 in last year’s guide.

“In a city crowded with skyscrapers, Rosewood Hong Kong stands out. Soaring 270 metres above the city, the 413-room flagship of the ultra-luxury group commands an enviable waterfront location on Victoria Harbour, plus stunning views of Hong Kong’s iconic skyline,” read the entry of Rosewood Hong Kong for The World’s 50 Best Hotels guide.

“Inside is a world of its own: 11 dining and drinking venues, extensive wellness facilities, gallery-worthy art, elegant rooms and suites and top-notch service that attracts movers and shakers.”

In other awards news, Rosewood Hong Kong debuted on the MICHELIN Guide’s new MICHELIN Keys rankings with Three Keys.
