Hong Kong’s top-two rated restaurants in the 50 Best universe traded places last night (Mar. 25) in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2026, with The Chairman taking No. 1 and Wing dropping one place from 2025’s rankings to No. 2.

This was the first time since 2021 that The Chairman placed at the top of the rankings, a testament to the Sheung Wan-based fine-dining Cantonese restaurant.

Hong Kong earned six places on the ranked list, matching Singapore and Seoul’s record, namely with Neighborhood (No. 24), Estro (No. 32), Caprice (No. 35), and Mono (No. 46) all picking up awards at the ceremony hosted at Rosewood Hong Kong.

Announced earlier in March prior to the ceremony, Zero Foodprint Asia director Peggy Chan of Hong Kong won the Champions of Change Award for her efforts leading regenerative farming practices in the city, region, and beyond.

The 50 regional restaurants placed on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants are decided by a 350-plus voting pack stacked with food writers, chefs, restaurateurs, and culinary experts as part of the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy.

Hong Kong now proudly hosts the World’s Best Bar Bar Leone, Asia’s Best Restaurant with The Chairman, and the World’s Best Hotel Rosewood Hong Kong within its city boundaries, a grand achievement for the global hospitality hub.
