After 14 years, Giando Italian Restaurant & Bar will serve its last meal in Wan Chai on Aug. 31 as the neighbourhood bids farewell to a household name.
However, not all will be permanently lost as the Italian restaurant, founded by chef Gianni Caprioli of equal Giá Trattoria Italiana and recent Dedica and Locanda CANALI fame, will be relocating to a new location opposite Emmer Pizzeria at Pacific Place later in Q4.
A farewell menu celebrating the best of Giando on Star Street will be previewed in late May through the end of August, bringing the restaurant’s current chapter to an end before it takes up new residence less than a kilometre away.
In 2026, Giando has been named the 12th-best Italian restaurant in the world in the I Migliori Ristoranti Italiani Nel Mondo 2026, a ranked guide operated by 50 Top Italy.
