Once again, our very own Bar Leone has retained the title of The World’s Best Bar at The World’s 50 Best Bars 2026 awards ceremony hosted in Milan last night (Oct. 7).
Taking the title in 2025 after a second-place finish the year prior, Bar Leone has a legacy of award-winning. It debuted in first place at Asia’s 50 Best Bars in 2024 and retained the regional title in 2025.
Guangzhou’s Hope & Sesame pipped the Hong Kong cocktail bar to first place in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026, in what seemed like an inevitable decline in the international rankings for Bar Leone. No chance of that now!
Lorenzo Antinori and Justin Shun Wah’s Italian bar ARGO comes in at 25th place, their second bar Montana at 36th, and GOKAN lands at 41st place on the international list. Hope & Sesame places 12th overall.
And if it seems like we can’t stop talking about Bar Leone, you are right. Come later in November, the duo will be opening their third bar in the city at Rosewood Hong Kong, replacing cocktail bar XX at The World’s Best Hotel 2026.
