The World’s Highest Bar: OZONE

We all know that Hong Kong’s skyline, harbour and mountain views are truly remarkable. There are many different places you can go to find great views such as The Peak or even while hiking around the city. However, if you’re looking for a place to fully relax and enjoy the spectacular views, OZONE is the place for you. Located at The Ritz-Carlton in Kowloon, it may be difficult to first find exactly where it’s located (especially since you have to take multiple lifts to get there), but it’s truly worth it once you arrive.

There are many different seating areas, and if it’s not too busy, you should be able to sit outside and face the views. There are also indoor seats that are a lot more comfortable, and the bar is surrounded by windows everywhere, so you can get many different perspectives. I think that the outdoor area is the place to be. You can sit and order your drinks as you stare directly down at the high-rises of Hong Kong. It feels as if you are a cloud from above watching over the city.

OZONE, The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong

As for the drinks, they are definitely going to be pricey as you are at The Ritz-Carlton and also the highest building in Hong Kong. I was with a group of four, so we decided to split the Château Leoube LOVE Rosé 2017 ($740 /bottle). Additionally, you’ll get a bowl of complimentary snacks along with your drinks.

Apart from the rosé we ordered, there are many different drink options such as champagne, wine, beer and so on. However, what I thought was really interesting were the elements-themed cocktails ($148–198) that OZONE has to offer. They have five different ones: Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal.

OZONE also offers food. There are cold and hot tapas, oysters, sweets and different types of Japanese food, including sushi, sashimi, maki and omakase menus.

Verdict

If you are in Hong Kong and looking for exceptional views, you must get yourself over to OZONE. The entire environment of the bar is very unique, and to say you have been to the highest bar in the world will at least be one thing ticked off your bucket list! Now, order some rosé, sit outside and just enjoy those views…
