Michelin has announced the 18th edition of the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau to be unveiled on Mar. 19 at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the MICHELIN Star, which makes this years award ceremony even more hotly anticipated.
The Bib Gourmand selection will be revealed on Mar. 12, highlighting restaurants that offer “good quality, good value cooking.” This announcement will be available on the MICHELIN Guide’s website and app.
The MICHELIN Guide adheres to a rigorous evaluation framework, with inspectors anonymously assessing establishments based on five criteria: quality of ingredients, mastery of cooking, harmony of flavors, chef’s expression, and consistency.
Last year’s ceremony saw 76 Hong Kong restaurants win stars, with Amber earning three Michelin stars for the first time in its life.
