The European Quality Pork from Denmark restaurant and dining promotion is back for its second year! Following a successful launch in 2019, this campaign aims to showcase Danish pork – which is safe, sustainable, high-quality and absolutely delicious – at Hong Kong restaurants and dining establishments.

Taking place for six weeks from 1 October to 15 November 2020, the European Quality Pork from Denmark campaign allows diners to sample some of the very best in Danish pork from some of Hong Kong’s finest chefs and dining establishments. All these dishes have been exclusively created for this campaign, so do not miss out on these exciting offers!

Chef Patrick Verhoeven of charming Hollywood Road eatery 238 The Grill is passionate about fine European flavours and sustainable produce. As much as we love dining out, sometimes we really need a good night in. GAFELL’s frozen meals make healthy eating at home easy by cooking with fresh ingredients, blast- freezing each dish at –40°C and then delivering it directly to the homes of busy customers all across Hong Kong. This cosy new Italian spot in SoHo run by husband-and-wife team Benito and Giulia Proust serves up seriously good pizza. Pork is a popular pizza topping, usually in the form of ham or pepperonni, but what about pork jowl? La Camionetta has taken on the challenge and created an enticing Asian-style pizza, La Suprema ($168) features flavourful Danish pork jowl alongside red onion, chilli and fresh herbs atop a crispy base.

Sometimes there’s nothing better than a pub meal. McSorley’s Ale House is definitely a go-to spot for a cold beer and some pub grub. Celebrating Irish ingredients along with excellent Danish pork, McSorley’s presents their Guinness-braised pork collar with colcannon potatoes ($168), which will have you scooping up every last bit of that Guinness gravy! One of our all-time favourite Thai restaurants, Namo Avant Thai is known for their harbour views and modern approach to Southeast Asian cuisine. They’re going all out during the European Quality Pork campaign with two dishes that showcase the diversity of Danish pork. The wok-tossed Danish pork collar in fragrant chilli pesto ($188) presents a tower of lean pork covered in an addictive, spicy sauce.

Namo Avant Thai Hong Kong

Namo’s second dish is the oven-roasted Danish pork collar steak with Thai green peppercorn sauce ($98/½; $188/full). This pork dish is crispy on the outside and extremely juicy on the inside. Once again, they’ve created a moreish sauce that we cannot get enough of! Be sure to order these dishes alongside one of Namo’s stellar cocktails.
