The all-day-dining restaurant at Nina Hotel Tsuen Wan West is placing the focus on the fruit of durian this summer – in particular, D24 durian from Malaysia, which is considered one of the most premium varieties (and slightly less pungent in aroma). Sweet treats flavoured with durian include durian pandan cake, durian crème brûlée, durian panna cotta, durian chocolate truffle tart, durian mochi, durian cheese tart, chilled mango sago cream with pomelo and durian and deep-fried durian ball, but there are non-durian fruity delights – like yuzu mousse cake, Kyoho grape parfait cup and red bean crystal mochi – to appease those who are sometimes overwhelmed by the fruit’s, shall we say, unique flavour. Savoury bites also get a look-in, in the form of appetisers and hot dishes such as watermelon and feta salad, fried chicken with salted egg yolk and grilled-to-order skewers. All you can eat!
