Modern-retro Chinese restaurant Happy Paradise was beloved in Hong Kong’s dining scene. Foodies, behold, as chef May Chow is bringing back the fun times with a limited-time pop-up at Little Bao Soho from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1.
May forgoes her bao-bun ways for three days to share her vibrant neo-Chinese cooking at the pop-up. The sharing menu (HKD880 for 2) features funky and signature Happy Paradise dishes, made famous at the former Aberdeen Street restaurant.
Try the sourdough egg waffle, American Wagyu skirt steak with thick-cut noodles, and ‘‘market seafood” dumplings for classic flavours, along with new dishes crafted by May – mala crispy grouper and miso-grilled octopus.
