It’s hard to believe that Roganic Hong Kong is turning five years old this year; it seems like only yesterday that Michelin-starred British chef Simon Rogan brought his city-centric take on sustainable, farm-to-table fine-dining to Hong Kong.
Roganic has been wowing Hong Kong diners ever since with its thoughtful and creative seasonal dishes, bagging a Michelin star, Michelin Green Star, and Foodie Forks Best New Restaurant award along the way.
To celebrate this half-decade milestone, Roganic is set to host a series of special events and collabs throughout 2024, kicking off next month with a collaboration with Mexican chef Jorge Vallejo of pioneering Mexico City restaurant Quintonil, which – like Roganic – prioritises the use of fresh, local ingredients (there’s even an on-site garden located just 30 metres from the kitchen). Quintonil is currently ranked at number 9 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.
The Roganic x Quintonil collaboration will take place on Feb. 23 and 24, featuring a six-course lunch menu (HKD1,980 pp) and eight-course dinner menu (HKD2,980 pp). Standout dishes showcased by chef Jorge include Mexican herb atole with chile cuaresmeño, black mole, aged rib-eye, and aubergine, crème fraîche, Melipona bee honey, physalis, and caviar, and a dessert of mamey, pixtle, and finger lime.
Stay tuned for news on Roganic’s next celebratory collaboration on Mar. 4 and 5 with an acclaimed restaurant from Singapore!
