After pleasing diners’ bellies with its signature handmade pasta and blue-ribbon pizza for more than a decade, trattoria CIAK – In the Kitchen, a fine-casual Italian concept by multi-Michelin-starred chef Umberto Bombana, is bidding farewell to its flagship Central location at LANDMARK with a series of buffets –  a lunch buffet (HKD488 for adults; HKD298 for kids) on Apr. 13 and dinner buffets (HKD898 for adults; HKD488 for kids) on Apr. 13 and 14, the restaurant’s last day of service.

Executive chef Valentino Ugolini is pulling out all the stops with his farewell buffets next month, showcasing CIAK’s famed handmade pasta dishes, like tagliolini carbonara and fettuccine with Sicilian red prawn, and award-winning pizzas, which clinched a spot on Italy’s 50 Top Pizza Asia-Pacific list from 2020–2022.

CIAK’s must-try pies include an extra-zingy Diavola pizza oozing with buffalo burrata, ‘nduja, and lemon zest and the Nocino pizza, where mushroom and homemade sausage are the stars.

We’re told that this flagship location of CIAK is set to return at a new venue in the near future, so trust Foodie to keep you posted about its debut. In the meantime, the secondary branch of CIAK – All Day Italian at Cityplaza in Quarry Bay remains open.
