From now until Jun. 30, MoMo Café at Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong Sha Tin is showcasing lunch and dinner buffets with seafood fans in mind.

With an adult price tag from HKD388 for lunch and from HKD708 for dinner, the Taste of Hong Kong: Seafood Gala honours the city’s connection to the sea and Hong Kongers’ love of fresh seafood.

The lunch and dinner buffets are headlined by local seafood and recipes the likes of typhon-shelter-style wok-fried crab with deep-fried garlic and chilli, poached sea whelk with spicy Chinese wine, wok-fried razor clam and mussel with black bean chilli sauce, and sautéed scallop and shrimp with shrimp paste and jade melon.

On weekends, the restaurant ups the seafood ante with live cooking stations where steamed fresh lobster and fish maw and chicken congee are whipped up.

As usual at MoMo Café, the buffets kick off with cold seafood on ice, including freshly shucked oysters, with rotating nightly specials like Boston lobster and crab legs on show too.

The all-you-eat desserts of black sesame mochi and lemon mousse cake, steamed egg white and milk pudding, and egg waffles in various flavours also take a local slant.
