Lantern Seafood Restaurant serves up a dish rare in Hong Kong and appearing even more unusual in sight: a black-skin roasted goose with black truffle (from HKD288) as dark as the night sky.

According to the restaurant recipe, the goose is rubbed with a dark brown sugar and secret black truffle soy sauce marinade. To enhance the goose flavour and dry out the moisture, the goose is air-dried for 24 hours before being served.

The restaurant calls itself a “fusion of Chinese and Western [cuisines, blending] Chinese roast goose craftsmanship mixed with Western black truffle sauce.”

The restaurant chain has locations in Causeway Bay, Jordan, and Tsim Sha Tsui.
