1. Armani/Caffè

The first of its kind in Hong Kong, Armani/Caffè has opened at Pacific Place adjacent to the city’s newest Giorgio Armani boutique. Designed by Mr Armani himself, the café features soothing gold, blue, and silver elements, emulating the fashion house’s style. Expect classic Italian flavours cooked by chef Gabriele Delgrossi, such as vitello tonnato (HKD180), cotoletta alla Milanese (HKD480), risotto Armani Milano (HKD150), and a delicious serving of savoirado tiramisu (HKD90).

2. Flying Cock

Flying Cock lands on High Street in Sai Ying Pun serving everything and anything grilled, sous-vide, deep-fried, and roasted chicken. The menu is expansive, featuring French-, Japanese-, and Cantonese-style chicken dishes. Be sure to savour the chicken schnitzel (HKD218), roast chicken sandwich (HKD118), and chicken meatball marinara (HKD158) to see where the rotisserie shines best. On Mondays, they offer a deal of 90-minute free-flow chicken wings for HKD198.

3. The Porch

The Porch best new restaurants in Hong Kong August 2025

Korean-style BBQ on skewers arrives Hung Hom-side at Kerry Hotel with The Porch, a Korean restaurant bringing the modern together with traditional cooking methods. A Korean sub-cuisine popular in the 1950s and 60s, grab a few sticks of the Jeju pork skin (HKD22), Black Angus chuck flap tail (HKD68), and Ibérico pork ribs (HKD32) to pair up with your soju or beer. The new restaurant also brings the popular Korean national OG chicken (HKD128), served elegantly crispy and tender with an assortment of savoury dips.

4. Solstice Culinary Space

Solstice Culinary Space best new restaurants in Hong Kong August 2025

ZS Hospitality Group, the dining behemoth behind Michelin-starred Hansik Goo, Whey, and Feuille, introduces Solstice Culinary Space. The new dining space includes a test-kitchen cooking studio, fine-dining Korean-meets-Western restaurant SOL, and chef Barry Quek’s Uncle Quek, which specialises in Southeast Asian cuisine with broad brushstrokes of Hokkien influence. SOL’s tasting menus cost HKD388 per person for lunch and from HKD888 per person for dinner, with Uncle Quek’s set menu starting at HKD158.

5. Siaw

Siaw best new restaurants in Hong Kong August 2025

Tsim Sha Tsui welcomes arty Thai restaurant Siaw, co-founded by chef Art Sinlaparkorn of Mak Mak, Samsen, and Thai Pai Dong fame. The mission at this new haunt is to provide fiery, hearty, and affordable Thai bites that look pretty, including the Kurobota pork boat noodles (HKD108), Wagyu beef pad krapow (HKD98), and soft-shell crab yellow curry (HKD168). For those with a sweet tooth, the pan-grilled coconut rice pancake (HKD58) is a must.

6. Cruce

Replacing the former space of Croque in Central, Cruce comes to the market with a fresh take on Spanish-meets-Hong Kong tapas. During lunch hours, they serve This This Paella (from HKD68), a customisable dish with protein additions of your choosing, à la this popular dining trend. For dinner, expect fusion flavours like the Ibérico char siu paella (HKD338), threadfin fish and clams à la Goldfinch (HKD228), and scallop carpaccio (HKD138).

7. Dedica

Dedica best new restaurants in Hong Kong August 2025

Brought to ifc mall by Gianni Caprioli, the chef and mastermind of Hong Kong’s long-standing Italian restaurant Giando, Dedica opens with a focus on the flavours and spirit of the Italian Riviera. With dishes like burrata (HKD158) with tomato and pesto, roasted spring chicken (HKD218), tagliatelle with scallop (HKD238), and toothfish (HKD358) in white wine sauce, expect fair prices alongside good Italian wine and even better views of Kowloon.

8. LE-TA-SU Causeway Bay

 LE-TA-SU best new restaurants in Hong Kong August 2025

Tokyo’s popular solo hotpot restaurant LE-TA-SU has opened its second Hong Kong location at Times Square in Causeway Bay, with its shabu-shabu concept featuring Japanese flavours and locally grown vegetables. The new lobster bisque set with Japanese Wagyu brisket and US pork loin (HKD128/HKD148) showcases premium Japanese Kuroge Wagyu beef and vegetables sourced from New Territories farms. Be sure to also order the live Boston lobster (HKD128 à la carte), available only in limited quantities daily. LE-TA-SU locations at YOHO MALL in Yuen Long and Kowloon’s ELEMENTS mall are set to open soon after.

9. Locanda Canali

Another restaurant to open in Hong Kong by chef Gianni Caprioli (this time branded by an Italian fashion house), Locanda Canali joins the Harbour City-based boutique, pairing up men’s fashion with a simple menu of Italian classics. Affordability and style are the names of the game, with favourites of rocket and Parmesan (HKD158), ossobucco (HKD298), and margherita pizza (HKD138) proving it.

10. Lau Haa Hot Pot Restaurant Tsim Sha Tsui

Highly photogenic and popular hotpot restaurant Lau Haa has hopped across Victoria Harbour for its second location in Tsim Sha Tsui. Serving both piping-hot broth and looks, the original Causeway Bay location has earned itself a strong fan base for its old-school interior design featuring key Hong Kong iconography. The Tsim Sha Tsui outlet is no different. It’s open daily till 2AM, with beer expected to flow all night long.
