Burger King is closing their 19-year-old location on The Peak on Aug. 31, leaving just one location remaining in the city at Hong Kong International Airport.

Confirmed to Sing Tao Daily, Burger King’s franchisee, SSP Hong Kong, is bowing out of the skyhigh neighbourhood, which has seen a resurgence in recent months with openings from Black Sheep and Bakehouse

The location will be hosting a number of discounts and deals for in-store customers heading to The Peak location for one final time.

After the fast food brand entered Hong Kong in the 1980s and cut operations in 1990, SSP Hong Kong brought the brand back in 2003, growing the Burger King network to 20 locations in 2007.

In December 2015, local franchisee of Burger King, Perfect Combo, shut down five locations in Wan Chai, Tsim Sha Tsui, Yau Ma Tei, Wong Tai Sin and Tseung Kwan O, leaving just The Peak and Hong Kong airport locations in operation.
