From massive croissants to gigantic egg tarts, Hong Kongers can’t seem to get enough of oversized baked goods.
Over at Pane e Latte in Stanley, the Italian bakery has hopped aboard the “bigger is better” bandwagon with the recent launch of the XL cookie collection, with two hands needed to hold each one of these bad boys.
Each month, there are two new limited-time XL cookie flavours on offer at the bake shop. This August, there’s the raspberry cookie (HKD68) with raspberry ganache filling and the classic cookie (HKD68), a chocolate chip cookie with chocolate ganache filling,
For an extra HKD28, customers can gild the lily with cookie toppings – this means white chocolate ganache, mixed fruits, and raspberry coulis for the raspberry cookie and chocolate-hazelnut paste, chocolate sprinkles, and roasted sliced almonds for the classic number.
