3. Honjo

Run don’t walk to Honjo (and expect a slow saunter after with a nap) for their Valentine’s Day offerings, available during the whole second week of February. For the Valentine’s Day menu, expect sharing of tuna tartare, perilla prawn tempura, and more for starters, a nigiri collection and seasoned sashimi salad amongst the raw selection, and a choice of main dishes such as braised galbi, yellow chicken, or lobster hot stone (+HKD88). As for the Valentine’s Week menu, one can find shoyu karaage, akimo hosomaki, and mushroom robotoyaki for picking. Both menus end with a rich chocolate lava cake!

4. Fish Bar

The month of February is expected to be a cool one, and nothing can be more cool than organising your romantic dinner with your SO at Fish Bar. The pool-side open-air restaurant is hosting a four-course dinner over two nights featuring a seafood-heavy menu, including a seafood platter, seafood bisque, sustainable Dover sole and French scallop or black Angus sirloin and half Boston lobster, and arôme de fraise to end the affair. 5. Salon Lanson

Where Causeway Bay is concerned, Salon Lanson is a serene space for respite amidst the hustle. Accompanying a violin-cellist duo playing sweet tunes throughout the night and a glass of champagne, their Valentine’s Day five-course menu is a spectacle to behold. On the menu stands the pickled oysters with chive oil, lobster salad, double-boiled Brittany pigeon consommé, seared duck foie gras, poached Brittany turbot or pan-roast Australian Wagyu beef fillet, and a raspberry mousse dome to round things up. At the Harbour Grand Hong Kong’s oldie but goldie restaurant, Kwan Cheuk Heen is reigning in the most romantic time of the year with three days of festivities. Their eight-course menu focuses on gourmet dishes commonly found in Hong Kong’s banquet restaurants, including poached fish maw, wok-fried lobster, deep-fried pigeon leg, and chilled sago pudding.

7. Porterhouse

Now located at California Tower’s 24th floor that once housed Aria, Porterhouse is raising the heat with a surf and turf-themed Valentine’s Day menu ensuring love springs in Lan Kwai Fong. Beginning with a nagi oyster amuse bouche, starters take a choice of Wagyu beef tartare or red prawn carpaccio, followed by a shellfish bisque, roasted Patagonian toothfish with clams, and a choice of Australian M7+ Wagyu picanha or poached lobster risotto for mains. The city of Chicago may not evoke flourishing romance, but the Morton’s The Steakhouse Hong Kong location is sure to make the sparks fly with their harbour view and boisterous menu. 9. 1862 bar de tapas y vino

At the semi-hidden 1862 bar de tapas y vino tapas restaurant, Valentine’s Day is being celebrated with a “five stages of love” menu, featuring a quintet of amorous dishes. On the night, begin with a “flirting” cured jamon with anchovy toast and “first date” Hokkaido scallops with Spanish foie gras. The heat amps up with the “engagement” grilled asparagus with chorizo Iberico and “wedding” Spanish rice with 60oz ribeye with whole Pacific prawns. The menu, and love story, comes to a final stage with the “honeymoon” churros.

10. One Harbour Road

This seven-course five-wine pairing Valentine’s Day dinner menu at One Harbour Road is made for celebrating in grand dim sum-y style. The week-long offering features glasses from Champagne, Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Hebei, with highlights on the menu including deep-fried Boston lobster claw, double boiled chicken and pork shank soup, braised steamed giant garoupa fillet, and whole South African premium dried abalone.
