1. Gaylord

Gaylord is kicking off the festivities in Hong Kong with a buffet spread made for Indian food-lovers. During the three first days of Chinese New Year, book yourself and the family in for a spread featuring pani puri, goat cheese spinach kebab, truffle chicken malai tikka, butter chicken, dal makhani, Bengali fish curry, mango rasmalai, and masala tea. Those wishing to enjoy themselves properly, diners can book a two-hour free-flow package of standard spirits, house red & white wine, Prosecco, bottled beef, and soft drinks for HKD188. Each diner is entitled to a free glass of mango lassi, a bottle of Kingfisher beer, or Gaylord’s RUKMAMAYA gin & tonic.

2. The Bayside

A quality spot to watch the 2026 Chinese New Year fireworks display, The Bayside is hosting a six-course dinner menu to enjoy the harbour spectacle and top Mediterranean bites. The menu begins with four starters – crab claw meat, smoked Wagyu beef tartare, pan-seared foie gras, and pan-fried crab cake – before a choice of four main courses, with the seafood treasure juicy rice and dry-aged Wagyu sirloin steak top signatures. The firework affair ends with a cheesecake. During the dinner, guests can also add dishes from a limited selection of à la carte menus at The Bayside and neighbouring sister restaurant O’Thai.

3. Man Ho Chinese Restaurant

At Man Ho Chinese Restaurant, celebrate your Chinese New Year in Michelin-starred fashion with a menu presenting the most symbolic of auspicious Cantonese dishes. The menu, shared with a minimum of four people at the table, includes steamed half lobster, deep-fried crispy chicken, dried abalone and turnip, baked sago pudding, and pan-fried Chinese pudding with shredded coconut. As grand as the legendary Hopewell Hotel is, Hopewell Inn is your answer for classic gourmet Cantonese dining. The Wan Chai restaurant is hosting two set menus for four people, crafted with prosperity and good fortunes in mind. The more affordable of the menus includes a grand sharing of the Hopewell Inn roasted platter, braised fish maw soup, steamed tiger garoupa, marinated chicken, and Fujian fried rice. The theme of this menu is hearty and group-sharing!

5. Hillside

The newest and hippest hotel in Hong Kong, Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui is hosting a week-plus-long special menu for Chinese New Year at Hillside. At the third-culture kitchen, expect to find familiar flavours, from the kung pao king prawns (HKD238) and braised whole pork knuckle with prosperity moss (HKD328) to the lotus leaf wrapped fried rice (HKD228) and sweet osthmanus & fermented glutinous rice soup with sesame cocktails (HKD88). Ask for a table closer to the window for a snapshot of the delicious Hong Kong Island view!

6. China Tang

Traditions are respected, yet shown a luxury touch at China Tang for their special Chinese New year menu. Included on the menu is a lo hei dish to usher in a prosperous year, the restaurant is also preparing dishes like the braised brown marbled garoupa, braised pig trotter and rice cake, and steamed rice with pork belly, preserved vegetables and aged dried tangerine peel. A total of eight dishes are available over the Chinese New Year period, including home-made water chestnut pudding.

7. Tim Ho Wan

The former Michelin-star holding dim sum restaurant chain Tim Ho Wan is offering a taste of home for Chinese New Year this year. The Year of the Horse is being celebrated at their K11 Art Mall location with highlights on the menu including a crispy Chinese New year cake, steamed chicken rice in wine broth, and scallop puff with salted egg yolk. Launching for the New Year, the chain has launched a black truffle baked chicken bun to pair up with their existing baked BBQ pork bun.

8. Ming Pavilion

At the Island Shangri-la, Hokkien restaurant Ming Pavilion is ushering in the Year of the Horse with dishes famous within communities dotting Fujian and other parts of Asia. Whilst most of the dishes from the nine-course menu can be ordered à-la-carte, we recommend enjoying the full breadth of the menu, with South African abalone with amberjack sashimi lo hei, tea-smoked crispy chicken, and Minnan sweet soup set to delight diners with well-balanced flavours.

9. Nam Fong

Nam Fong, located within the Lé Meridien Hong Kong down in Cyberport, is offering the full package for Chinese New Year with a spring reception menu. Packed with 12 dishes and four hours of free-flow of selected beers and house wines, this menu is worth every penny for your group. Highlights include deep-fried shrimp ball, wok-fried scallop and cuttlefish, braised six-heads abalone, crispy fried truffle chicken, and sweet osmanthus ginger tea with sesame glutinous dumplings.
