In partnership with GREAT Food Hall

GREAT Food Hall has been revamped into an even more tremendous wonderland of delicacies from around the globe. If you want to browse the foods of the world, this is the place to do it.

The brand-new GREAT Food Hall now boasts over 12,000 delicacies from around the world for a truly premium shopping experience. With three dedicated zones featuring gourmet items from various countries, you’ll find delights such as the highly coveted dry-aged longhorn yellow beef.

What’s more, they’ve created an ecostore refill station. As the very first supermarket to offer a refill station for laundry and personal care liquid by New Zealand’s ecostore, GREAT is paving the way forward for customers to easily purchase refill products rather than single-use plastics.

There is a tempting cheese corner and cheese room where you can find an enormous selection of over 200 of your favourite cheeses, including France’s Mons Comté and Italy’s Artigiano, with tight control of temperature and humidity.

The meat counter exclusively introduces premium pork and lamb from famous British meat merchant The Ginger Pig in North Yorkshire, England, and Tasmania’s Cape Grim Beef, which is humanely and sustainably grown with no added hormones or antibiotics. A unique QR code is provided at the meat counter for customers to trace the origin of the beef and its transporting procedure from farm to store. GREAT has also launched a free dry-ageing service monitored by Chef Matthias Pichler that can dry-age meat from 21 to 42 days.

The seafood counter contains 30 kinds of carefully sourced sustainable seafood including Australian sea bass, organic Australian blue mussels and organic Irish salmon.

With this large-scale remodelling, GREAT has unveiled three major zones. The first, dubbed the Be GREAT! Fresh-Take-Home Zone, is managed by Austrian star chef Matthias Pichler, the former chef at one of Ireland’s top five-star hotels. He selects from jet-fresh ingredients and presents them in-store to give customers the inspiration for cooking scrumptious dishes at home.

The Be GREAT! FMCG Zone has been kitted out with 12,000 specialist products, including 2,000 exclusive brands from around the globe. Everything you need is here in this one divine food hall. GREAT features product ranges by England’s Waitrose, France’s Casino, Australia’s Woolworths and Korea’s U:US. Moreover, GREAT has sourced a series of special alcoholic beverages, including 50 kinds of craft beer and 200 varieties of Japanese sake, while particularly recommending the Junmai Daiginjo Fukurotori Shizuku.

Then there’s the Be GREAT! Take-Away Zone, where busy Hong Kongers can dash in to pick up a satisfying lunch without having to queue for ordering. Try to escape the devastatingly delicious aromas from the USA’s La Boulangerie, baking over 200 varieties of breads and pastries with flour imported from France and offering its famous gelato, which is a treat not to be missed. The Taste-to-Go mobile app is soon to be launched and will offer a pre-ordering and pre-payment system for customers who are in a rush so that they can easily collect their meals during their chosen time slot.

GREAT will also introduce exclusive and new-to-HK products, including truffle-based foods by TruffleHunter from the UK, and GREAT’s recommended products, such as a selection of 23 teas from awarded Chinese tea brand Man Cha – especially its most-awarded Milk Oolong.

With healthier diet trends becoming ever more popular, GREAT has launched a wellness corner filled with an array of healthy brands, including the famous American brand Bob’s Red Mill, exclusive organic brand Waitrose Duchy from the UK supermarket and France’s Casino Bio. Customers can also find some hero products from brands like Green Common, with its products such as Omnipork Spaghetti Bolognese and Omnipork Meatball, so as to cater to the diversified needs of vegetarians.

With a modernised design, you’ll wander through the airy and open space, with its rustic concrete wall finishes, wave-like ceiling, bronze and gold accents and diamond stone-effect flooring throughout, for a luxurious and contemporary shopping experience like no other.
