Eat The Kiwi
In order to host the perfect Thanksgiving dinner party, one needs the perfect turkey. Premium online grocery store Eat The Kiwi is offering just that, and at a very reasonable price. Their whole free-range turkey ($780) comes straight from New Zealand and is hormone and steroid free, halal certified and pre-brined for succulence – no one likes a dry turkey! Of course, a lone turkey does not a feast make; sides and desserts are musts too.
Eat The Kiwi is a one-stop shop offering plenty of fruit and veg – think roast spuds and fresh salads – as well as dessert ingredients to make sure your guests are satisfied.
Delivering all across Hong Kong (except to Ma Wan), the handy Eat The Kiwi boxes are recyclable and FSC certified. They’re also lined with a recyclable and biodegradable sheep’s wool lining called Woolcool that, along with a few recyclable ice packs, keeps the contents of the boxes frosty fresh for up to 10 hours from delivery. Even if you’re not home to accept your box of goodness, they can leave it at the front door or with reception.
You can select your preferred delivery date when checking out. Delivery is free for orders over $1,000 and items can be delivered as soon as the next day.
Flying Pig Bistro
A casual neighbourhood vibe, diverse dishes and great value are just a few of the reasons we love to visit Sai Ying Pun favourite Flying Pig Bistro. This year, they’re offering what is by far the most reasonable Thanksgiving dining package around. At just $198 for two hours of all-you-can eat feasting, this meal promises to be a real showstopper. We’re already drooling thinking about roasted turkey with cranberry sauce and gravy, pigs in blankets, mashed potato, charred Brussels sprouts and a plentiful selection of roasted veggies.
In true celebratory style, they’ve also got a tempting free-flow package ($198/person) that includes two hours of unlimited cava, white wine, red wine, vodka, gin, whisky and Lobster Shack beer. This means that, with 10% service charge, this entire feast of free-flow food and drink comes in at under $500 per person. You certainly won’t find better value than that!
Gather up your friends to enjoy this family-style holiday treat on Thursday, 26 November, 6–11pm.
For the ultimate feast with all the fixin’s, look no further than Italian-American favourite Franks. Chef Ivy Hui’s Thanksgiving feast ($548/person) will be available for dinner from 24–29 November featuring delectable dishes such as homemade burrata, pizza insalata and, of course, a perfectly roasted turkey. Dressed with turkey butter or cranberry sauce and with condiments including apple butter and chive butter, this turkey is sure to impress. And that’s not all – the sides have us salivating too, with options such as mac ‘n’ cheese, honey-glazed Brussels sprouts, garlic mashed potato, buttermilk biscuits and homemade fennel sausage stuffing. Even with this plentiful spread, there will always be room for dessert, especially with sweet treats like Oreo cookie pie and classic apple crumble.
To really get into the festive spirit, guests can add on a two-hour free-flow package ($298/person) that includes Poretti beer, Wild Turkey old-fashioneds, house wines and G.H. Mumm champagne.
