Modern Filipino restaurant Dara swings open its doors again after undergoing a relocation and renovation a few blocks down in Sai Ying Pun to a bigger and better space.

Taking over a former Pizza Express restaurant and sitting underneath La Paloma, Dara’s new space affords a more luxurious experience dining at the restaurant, hosting an upgraded menu packed with classic and modern renditions of spicy, meaty, and sour Filipino plates.

As always, we’re big fans of the lumpiang laing (HKD68) and kinilaw na talakitok (HKD138) to start hearty meals off, before diving into mains of palabok (HKD158), sizzling sisig (HKD118), and kare-kareng baka (HKD158).

Good meals always end up with good drinking, and you ought to try the sweet-tasting pandan negroni (HKD108) and Chocnutini (HKD118).
