We recommend selecting chef-owner Anthony Cheung’s handcrafted seafood tagliatelle or the orzo-based lobster risoni. For dessert, it’s a toss-up between the tofu panna cotta and sea-salt tiramisu, before couples are sent on their way with a complimentary keepsake photo. At sleek, sommelier-led fine-casual French restaurant SOMM at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental hotel, wine-loving couples can tuck into a four-course (HKD1,398 pp; seating between 5:30–6:30PM) or six-course (HKD1,798 pp; seating between 8–9:30PM) dinner menu on Feb. 14. Seasonal plates include the beauty that is this beef tenderloin, wild mushroom duxelles, and foie gras pithivier. The dessert course is another high point of the menus; served in a hefty bowl, the new-to-SOMM XXL Rocky’s matcha tiramisu has already become a hit with matcha-mad diners – if you don’t manage to finish the whole bowl during your meal, the restaurant encourages you to bring it home for a midnight snack.
