Available for bookings from Feb. 18 till Feb. 22 and on Feb. 24 and 25, Sushi Zinc’s “An Omakase Voyage of Local Bounty: 1st Anniversary Edition” is a love letter to Hong Kong.

A contemporary eight-seater sushiya located off the beaten track in Shau Kei Wan, Sushi has garnered a loyal following over the past year for its artistic seasonal sushi crafted by chef Zinc Leung.

The first-anniversary dinner omakase menu (HKD2,400 pp) places local ingredients on a pedestal, with 90 percent of the produce originating in Hong Kong. Menu highlights include the thorny oyster nigiri, red crab and scallop roll, and giant grouper kamameshi, a traditional Japanese rice dish cooked tableside.

Sushi Zinc has partnered with local seafood supplier Davey Wong and Fanling farm Hydrogro to ensure this menu is a home-grown success.

Diners will also be treated to a sparkling tea welcome drink courtesy of Mindful Sparks, an up-and-coming local brand.
