In anticipation of The Pizza Bar on 38th’s opening at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, in 2026, the acclaimed pizzeria from Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo, will be making a pop-up appearance at the Hong Kong hotel this June.

From Jun. 19 till 22, the hotel’s private event space will be transformed into a pizzeria with its very own pizza oven baking up the Asia-Pacific region’s number 1 pizza, as declared by 50 Top Pizza for the past three years in a row.

Daniele Cason is the chef behind this pizza magic, offering a bespoke pizza tasting menu (HKD1,888 pp) for both lunch and dinner. Chef Daniele’s pizzas are made with a light 48-hour fermented dough and inventive seasonal Italian-meets-Japanese toppings.

Seven Roman-style pizza alla pala are set to be showcased at the pop-up, including marinara, baby corn and warayaki tuna, Wagyu beef, eggplant, and black lemon, and zucchini, fennel, and duck sausage.

The pizza omakase menu also includes a fior di latte dessert with ice cream, lemon jam, and Okinawa mango as well as a four-glass wine or non-alcoholic pairing
