Ranked Asia’s Best Bar in 2021, 2022, and 2023, COA leads as a space in introducing Mexico’s mezcal and agave tequila drinking culture to Hong Kong. The Mexican-inspired cocktail menu, designed by founder Jay Khan, features a collection of small batch agave spirits. Each agave cocktail aims to heighten taste profiles through Mexican and local ingredients, be that bitter, grassy, umami, peppery, sour, or floral.

El Taquero
Whilst Wan Chai’s authentic Mexican joint El Taquero is not strictly a bar, the restaurant holds a strong list of tequila and mezcal spirits imported straight from the fiery motherland. Their collection includes floral, fruity, and smokey mezcales from Oaxaca and blanco, reposado, and añejo varieties of oak-barrel aged tequila.

Tequila on Davis
Tequila on Davis in Kennedy Town are well known for their margaritas, made perfect with a large selection of 100% agave tequila. Their signature cocktail list feature a number of fruity, peppery, and sour cocktails mixed with either reposado or blanco tequila. Customers can also order shots or bottles of anejo, blanco, reposado, or mezcal at the restaurant.

La Vista
In Tsim Sha Tsui and Tung Chung, La Vista serves top quality Mexican food alongside a heavy list of nearly one and a half dozen agave spirits, including mezcal and blanco, and four margaritas to choose from: classic, passionfruit, strawberry, and mango. Cadillac Bar & Grill
Boasting one of Hong Kong’s largest open-air terraces, Cadillac Bar & Grill delivers an all-important Mexican-meets-American dining experience, with their margaritas and tequila not disappointing. Their tequila section includes brands such as Don Julio, Patron, El Jimador, and more, whilst their margaritas are served with house silver or gold tequila in regular, el grande, or pitchers size.
